Why did you choose your resort / destination for your honeymoon?
We chose Sandals Barbados for a few reasons. First, we wanted to pick Sandals because of their sterling reputation as one of the best all-inclusive resorts. Second, being a very newly built resort we knew the facilities would be clean and look amazing. Third, Barbados was a unique destination that not many people we knew had been to.
What activities did you do during your honeymoon?
Every day at the resort was filled with opportunities to participate in different events as well as use one of the many amenities. We went bowling several nights (this was the most popular bar at night for couples to meet at). We played pool volleyball many times (there was always fierce competition). We did water sports including the hobie cats and kayaking in the ocean. We got to play trivia a few times. Lastly, we went to the city of Bridgetown to go shopping and try some of the local food.
What was your most memorable moment from your honeymoon?
Our most memorable moment had to be a tie between the sailing on the hobie cat or the amazing candlelight white glove dinner on the beach.
What were the top five favorite things you did on your honeymoon?
1. Eating all of the amazing food from the resort (Lobster and steak every night).
2. Going out sailing into the deep water where we could see the beauty of the island from the ocean.
3. All the times we were too lazy to do something and our butlers would do them for us.
4. Making friends and bowling partners that we were able to hang out with on the trip.
5. The concert that was put on by one of the amazing singers they had at the resort.
How was your experience using Shoreline Destinations for planning your trip?
Shoreline Destinations had to fight for us to have the perfect honeymoon. Our airline canceled flights to the island the day that we were supposed to arrive and Andrea worked to get Sandals to extend our trip for a reasonable price rather than making us lose a day when we had no control.
Andrea guided us through the decision phase and narrowed our choices down to exactly what we wanted. Taylor even won a Shoreline Destinations giveaway on social media that gave us a little extra spending money to enjoy our vacation. We could not be happier with Shoreline Destinations! Thank you!
