The Arch of Cabo San Lucas

Location
Los Cabos is an area located at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, in Mexico, and consists of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose Del Cabo and the corridor between the 2 cities.
Climate
The high season in Los Cabos is from December to April, which has the best weather and is the ideal time for a destination wedding. During this time the daytime average is in 80 degrees and the nights are pleasant in the 60s. May through July tend to be much warmer and you’ll want to avoid August through November, which is hurricane season.
Top Excursions
Visit the Arch of Cabo San Lucas and Land’s End
This majestic rock formation is located at the tip of Baja Peninsula and is a must-see. Take a water taxi or a kayak tour to see the Arch, Lover’s Beach, and Divorce Beach.
Go snorkeling or scuba diving
Cabo San Lucas is a great location for snorkeling and scuba diving. Head to Chileno Beach or Santa Maria Bay for snorkeling. If you’re a scuba diver, don’t miss Cabo Pulmo, which is closer to San Jose del Cabo. It is nicknamed “Aquarium of the World” because there are over 300 species of fish.
Visit San Jose del Cabo
Head to San Jose del Cabo to find some of the best shops. You’ll find boutique galleries, resort wear, and Mexican handicrafts.
Marriage Requirements
Many couples choose to get legally married in the U.S. at their local courthouse or church and have a symbolic ceremony for their destination wedding. Typically, guests do not know that the ceremony they are witnessing at destination weddings are symbolic (shhh!). If you do choose to get legally married in Mexico, you will need to have the following:
- Valid passports
- Original and certified copy of your birth certificates
- Tourist card or visa, which you will receive upon arrival
- Names, ages, addresses, nationalities, and occupations of both sets of parents
- Blood test certificate (must be done in Mexico 48 hours before marriage)
- Four witnesses with copies of valid passports or driver’s licenses (must be 18 and cannot be biological parents)
- Death and divorce decrees are required if applicable
