Location
Punta Cana is on the eastern shore of the Dominican Republic and is right where the Atlantic and Caribbean Sea meet. The contrasting currents between these two bodies of water create a variety of sea life that is great for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Climate
The Dominican Republic is an all-year destination with the average temperature being 77°F. They do have a rainy season and the wettest months for the north are October through April and for the south are May to November.

Catalina Island Tour with Snorkeling
Catalina Island is classified as a national monument with a protected environment and little development and is also the Caribbean beach home port of the Costa cruise line. There are several well-known caves and reefs in the area, as well as famous shipwrecks. It is very popular among divers and snorkelers as there is a wall of coral that surrounds the island. Marriage Requirements
Many couples choose to get legally married in the U.S. at their local courthouse or church and have a symbolic ceremony for their destination wedding. Typically, guests do not know that the ceremony they are witnessing at destination weddings are symbolic (shhh!). If you do choose to get legally married in the Dominican Republic, you will need to have the following:
- Valid passports
- Original and certified copy of your birth certificates
- Copies of last entries stamps
- Tourist card or visa, which you will receive upon arrival
- Sworn declaration being a notary public, of being single and eligible to marry.
- Two witnesses with copies of valid passports or driver’s licenses (must be 18 and cannot be biological parents)
- Death and divorce decrees are required if applicable
