Indian Wedding Traditions
Our team understands that an Indian destination wedding is a multi-day event. Below are some rituals that your on-site resort wedding planner will customize with you.
Pithi Ceremony
2 or 3 days prior to the wedding, family and friends come together to rub Pithi on the bride and groom in separate ceremonies to signify that the families are ready to marry.
Sangeet & Mendhi Ceremony
The Sangeet is a night of singing and dancing in preparation of the upcoming union. During the Mendhi ceremony beautiful intricate designs are applied to the bride’s hands and feet. Guest are also welcome to participate by getting designs on their hands during a Mendhi ceremony.
Baraat Processional
During the Baraat processional, the groom makes his grand entrance. He could come in by horse, car or even jet ski!
Wedding Ceremony
Every Indian wedding ceremony is unique! Some include fire that is kindled, a mandap, prayers, or even a presentation of gifts.
Wedding Reception
Here’s a time to let loose and enjoy coming together as two families. It’s a chance to enjoy the company of family and friends and dance in paradise.
