Destination Weddings in

Jamaica

Jamaica is where you go

when you want your wedding

to feel like a party.

There’s a reason Jamaica is one of our go-to destinations when couples want a wedding that feels fun, effortless, and unforgettable. It’s easy to get to, resorts know exactly how to host, and the vibe is instantly more relaxed the second you land.

This is the kind of place where your guests actually let loose. Pool days turn into sunset cocktails, dinners turn into dance floors, and your wedding starts to feel like a full weekend experience, not just a few hours.

You still get the beauty. The beaches, the food, the scenery. But what really makes Jamaica stand out is the energy. Carefree, vibrant, and just structured enough that everything flows without feeling over planned. You’re not managing timelines. You’re in it, celebrating right alongside everyone you love!

Marriage Requirements

Many couples choose to get legally married in the U.S. at their local courthouse or church and have a symbolic ceremony for their destination wedding. Typically, guests do not know that the ceremony they are witnessing at Destination Weddings are symbolic (shhh!). If you do choose to get legally married in Jamaica, you will need to have the following:
- Valid passports
- Original and certified copy of your birth certificates
- Proof of divorce if applicable (original certificate of divorce)
- Certified copy of a death certificate for widows or widowers
- No blood test is required
- Only a marriage officer licensed in Jamaica can legally marry a couple. An officiant of the couple’s choice may conduct the wedding ceremony, but a local marriage officer from Jamaica must be present to sign the marriage form and make the official marriage pronouncement. Marriage officers can also provide necessary witnesses for the ceremony.
- Processing fee JM$4000 (less than US$40)
