Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We always knew we wanted to have a destination wedding so that we could bring our closest family members and friends together for more than just a few hours of quality time. We also knew that everyone was itching for a tropical vacation after being locked down for almost 2 years of Covid-19, so it just felt right.

Why did you choose your resort and destination?
We booked a last minute trip to Moon Palace Jamaica in February 2020 (right before the world shut down) and fell in love with the resort. We were dating at the time and joked that it would be the perfect place to get married and that it would be so much fun to create memories with our families and friends. Fast forward to Spring 2021 when we started planning our wedding and exploring different resort options (our guests were traveling from the PNW and East Coast), all roads led to Moon Palace Jamaica. We definitely think it was meant to be and are so glad we stuck to our gut.

What was your most memorable moment during your wedding?
It's hard to choose just one, but standing on the gazebo and seeing our family and friends surrounded by the most gorgeous mountains and Caribbean sea after being pronounced husband and wife still gives us chills. We felt so loved, supported, and grateful that so many people traveled for us and that we get to share these special memories together forever.

What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
Not sure if it was because we were on island time or had unlimited drinks, but everything was just so perfect and relaxed. We were surrounded by our family and friends for an entire week and didn't have to worry about a single thing. The resort was beautiful, the staff was incredible, the food and drinks were amazing, and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We really lucked out with having such an amazing wedding coordinator at the resort (Ayana was a saint!) that executed everything so perfectly and brought our vision to life.

What was your experience working with Shoreline Destinations to plan your destination wedding?
The entire team at Shoreline Destinations were the real MVPs! They simplified the entire planning process for us and ensured that everyone was informed along the way. Prior to working with Shoreline Destinations, we had tried to do everything ourselves (rookie mistake) and could not get any responses from any of the resorts we were targeting.

We thankfully turned to the internet, found Shoreline Destinations, reached out, and within 48 hours had a signed contract with Moon Palace Jamaica. Shoreline Destinations helped us navigate all things Covid-19 - from refundable bookings to testing requirements to potential quarantining protocol - and logistics - booking travel for 50+ people from all over the country and coordinating transportation. They were always responsive and handled any issues that arose with grace and always put our guests' best interests first. We will definitely work with them for all future trips - whether it's a couples, friends, or family vacation and are so lucky to have found Andrea and her team in the first place!!
