How did you meet?
We met on Tinder at the beginning of Covid. lol.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We chose to have a destination wedding so that we could spend more time with our guests than you can at a traditional wedding. Being able to spend a few days before and after with our family and friends, relaxing on the beach & relaxing with everyone was amazing!
Why did you choose your resort and destination?
We chose Secrets Wild Orchid in Jamaica for a few different reasons. We did some research before we decided where to have the wedding and knew we were in the middle of seaweed season planning a summer wedding and we wanted to make sure we chose somewhere that didn’t have that issue. We also chose Jamaica for the short, direct flight. We found our resort and loved the pictures we saw online & that it was centralized to all of the restaurants which was very convenient for us and our guests. The pictures of the wedding ceremonies were beautiful here as well!
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony?
The most memorable part of our ceremony was reading our own vows to one another in front of our family and friends. Nick said the most memorable part for him was watching me walk down the aisle. I’d say walking down the aisle to my handsome groom with the beautiful ocean as the backdrop was pretty amazing for me as well.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
The best part of having a destination wedding was being able to spend quality time with all of our guests before and after the wedding. We didn’t feel like we missed out on spending any time with anyone because we had several days with everyone before and after the wedding! Everyone had an absolute blast during their vacation and the wedding reception was absolutely amazing.
What was your experience working with Shoreline Destinations to plan your destination wedding?
We are both so glad that we found Shoreline Destinations to plan our destination wedding! We had absolutely no stress during the planning process. Our guests also loved how organized everything was with booking their stay, airport transfers & having someone available to answer questions so that as the bride and groom we weren’t also fielding questions from everyone.
