What is your perfect date night?
Our perfect date night revolves around something active in the city whether it’s a bike ride, walk or run. It would be followed up by amazing food as we both appreciate a good bite and finishes with us on the couch with a funny movie.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
We wanted to get married in a beautiful, warm location and we always thought a beach wedding would be the perfect choice for us. Veronica loves the ocean and Greg loves the mountains. Puerto Vallarta has both!
We also wanted a location that was fun and memorable for our guests. A place where they could relax and make a vacation out of our wedding weekend. Puerto Vallarta checked our list!
Did you add any personal touches to your wedding ceremony?
Veronica always wanted to have a mariachi at the wedding. We were so happy to include them in the ceremony while walking down to one of Veronica’s favorite songs, Cielito Lindo. We also wanted a fun and colorful atmosphere, so we added maracas, papel picado and beautiful flowers. Last but most important, we were able to have a catholic ceremony with our priest from back home. We also included several Jewish traditions to include both of our faiths.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony?
The sunset was incredible. We had a sunset ceremony and the weather couldn’t have cooperated better. There was a beautiful breeze and the sun was a beautiful bright orange-yellow color as it came down to the horizon. It was amazing being able to be in such a beautiful place surrounded not only by our friends and family, but with the beauty of the ocean and mountains.
Did you do any activities with your guests?
Our guests took advantage of the long weekend. Some went swimming with the dolphins, whale watching and participated in a all day cruise. Many went to the downtown area for tequila tasting and shopping.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding?
We are so happy we had a destination wedding especially at the Velas Vallarta. The resort was beautiful and the customer service was amazing. Our guests were able to have a lovely vacation and also attend our activities throughout the weekend. Greg and I were able to spend quality time with our guests each day of our vacation. We all want to go back on the year anniversary.
