How did you meet? We met at work 15 years ago back in Brazil. I was working at the HR and he was hired at the time. Our story began with having our first daughter and after 3 years we relocated for his job to another city in Brazil. Then got pregnant of our second daughter, got civil married only after that on Jun 12 - when we celebrate Valentine’s Day there. In 2017 we moved to the US and our family is here since then.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding? It was after one of our visits to Cancun that we dreamt about doing a ceremony at the beach with my daughters participation. For us it would be perfect as we could gather our friends that we made living in the US, as well as our family and friends from Brazil!
Why did you choose your resort and destination? We’ve been to the resort before in 2021 in a spring break in Cancun, so I already knew a bit what they had to offer. Andrea and her team helped us narrow down some other options based on prices and location too. With all the information on pricing, types of accommodation and the wedding ceremony I was able to chose the resort.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony? Be able to have as many friends and family, beachfront to celebrate our wedding was a dream come true. As we were together for 15 years already, to have our daughters as flower and ring girls participate was super special and emotional.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding? That friends and family get to take vacation to celebrate a special moment with you, in ‘paradise’! That was certainly a plus. Also living in the US but being from Brazil - that was just perfect to think we could meet in the middle of the way to make our family dream come true.
What was your experience using Shoreline Destinations? Was great! Andrea was really resourceful with the experience she has with helping couples to feel comfortable with their choices. Ellen was quick and responsive with all the translations on our couple’s webpage. Sharon went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and requests. They were also flexible with the overseas payments when guests were booking the rooms. I’m aware can be a bit complicated. I really appreciate how they walked us through the whole wedding destination experience. Kudos to everyone who works at Shoreline Destinations!
