How did you meet?
We actually met through the dating app, Bumble (I know- eye roll lol). Our first date was quite the adventure to say the least, and still one of our favorite memories! Since then, we’ve turned our house into our home (they say if you can survive assembling IKEA furniture together, you can get through anything). We’ve also added the greatest puppy girl, Cedar, into the mix! On a weekend in August at Cheekwood Estate in Nashville, we got engaged. And now here we are, planning our wedding. We couldn’t be more excited to make this thing official!
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
I (Ammanda) have always imagined my wedding this way, ever since my first all-inclusive trip with family to Turks & Caicos. There’s truly nothing better than escaping the cold Michigan winter for a week of sunshine, cocktails, and relaxation! The older we get, the faster time seems to fly by, and quality time with loved ones becomes fewer and further in-between. It is the opportunity of a lifetime to be able to share that with our closest friends and families.
Why did you choose your resort and destination?
While we did have a resort in mind, we totally put our trust in Andreas expertise, and ended up selecting Secrets Playa Blanca from her proposed list! We actually loved that it’s not open yet, so it will be a fresh new experience for us and our guests! What really sealed the deal for us were the venue options at this resort! Very clean and modern, while maintaining a touch of warmth, which is exactly what we were looking for!
