How did you meet? We met at work in 2018, in Virginia Beach, VA. We became best friends, however realized there was something more. So we gave it a shot after some convincing on my part (Stacey). Everyone around us including our family believed we were a couple long before us. It was the inside joke amongst our inner circle. Family assumed we were dating long before making it official.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding? After looking around at so many venues, we realized they just didn’t fit us. We enjoy traveling and creating memories with family, so why not.
Why did you choose your resort and destination? My wife (Mauri) loved the show “Laguna Beach” and automatically selected Cabo. Please note we have never traveled outside the country. So we truly relied on faith to guide us in the direction. When researching the area it was everything we could have asked for. The beautiful scenes, great food and tequila, and memories to last a lifetime. When selecting the resort, we wanted a location that would meet the needs of our guest. Hard Rock Los Cabos checked all the boxes. It was an all-inclusive, family-oriented, plenty of food selections, and a number of bars. The views were breath taking and the hotel provided a modern look.
What was your most memorable moment during your ceremony? Our most memorable moment was standing at the altar with the ocean behind us with the support of our family and friends. The weather was perfect with the sun just beginning to set. Listening to each other’s vows allowed us to fall in love with each other all over again. The shot at the end didn't hurt either.
What was the best part about having a destination wedding? The hassle-free and team of professionals working to make the day absolutely perfect. The sky is truly the limit. The exchange of services and making our vision come to life was amazing. The stateside team to the team in Mexico out did themselves a million times over. They gave great suggestions in addition to showing a number of options that would work for the vision we wanted. Having a built in vacation with our family and friends was the icing on the cake.
What was your experience using Shoreline Destinations? Words cannot express the amazing experiences we had while working with Shoreline Destinations. We would rank them ten out of ten. Andrea Norfolk and her team truly out did themselves. We changed a number of things in mist of our planning and the Wedding Team was excellent in responding and communicating with the team at the resort. There were things executed that we didn’t even consider.
Andrea Norfolk and her team arranged ground transportation for all guests to and from the airport and the website was a great source of information. Ellen with Shoreline Destinations designed the wedding website and welcome brochure, which assisted with providing information to all of our guests leading into the departure day. They truly did it all! Meredith did an outstanding job assisting all of our guests on room selections and/or changes. One our guests unfortunately experienced some delays when traveling. Meredith was able to communicate with the hotel and extend there stay. Amazing! All our guests spoke highly about the company and consider the team to be extended part of the family. My wife and I immediately booked our second trip to celebrate our anniversary with Shoreline Destination.
