How did you meet?
Brad and I share a mutual love for the sport of bowling. He and I were often at the same bowling leagues and tournaments with common friends. Over time we moved from being competitors to an official couple. There was electricity between us the instant we started spending time together. The more time we spent together, the more time we couldn’t spend apart. On a weekend in Nov 2023, Brad planned a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride around the city of Pittsburgh that ended with a surprise marriage proposal.
Why did you choose to have a destination wedding?
As a couple, we love to travel and explore new locations. We knew we wanted a destination wedding instead of having a traditional church wedding again. An all-inclusive resort provides a great way for our friends and family to all be in one place, sharing a unique experience.
Why did you choose to have your wedding at Hyatt Zilara & Ziva Cap Cana?
We researched online and then visited multiple resorts in Cancun and Punta Cana before falling in love with Hyatt Ziva in Dominican Republic. We wanted a resort that offered both a family-friendly side along with an adults-only side. It was also important to us for the resort to have multiple dining options with great food quality. Hyatt Ziva also has a large waterpark, various activities and secluded spa location.
From a wedding perspective, we fell in love with the white gazebo sitting on a palm tree lined beach with crystal blue ocean views. Lastly, the rooftop terrace has incredible ocean/beach views that will make a memorable reception experience.
