Why I Love Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana’s Wedding Venues
Located on the pristine Juanillo Beach in Punta Cana, Hyatt Ziva and Zilara Cap Cana are the perfect all-inclusive resorts for a destination wedding, commitment ceremony, or vow renewal. These side-by-side resorts are ideal for families (Ziva) or for those looking for an adults-only option (Zilara). Your guests can stay on either side of the resort and adults will have access to both sides. Plus - their gazebos are the perfect location for your wedding ceremony and you’ll love having your reception on the Hyatt Ziva rooftop terrace.
When I first visited Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Cap Cana in January 2020, just a few months after it opened, I was blown away! I knew it would be good, but not only did it live up to everything I was expecting, it knocked it out of the park.
Prior to the resort opening, I had already signed a couple for our first destination wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and was able to do so because I've come to love the Hyatt Ziva & Zilara brand. I know their resorts well and had visited their (what I would consider) flagship property at the time, Hyatt Ziva Cancun. I had also vacationed personally at their Jamaica property and so I knew Cap Cana would be the best of those two resorts combined.
Soooo, after the initial shock of just how beautiful this resort is, it was time to get down to the nitty gritty... checking out the wedding ceremony and reception locations!

The gazebos by the beach are fantastic (one on the Zilara side and one on the Ziva side) and the beach is of course off the charts!

HYATT ZIVA’s ROOFTOP TERRACE
The real star of the show though is the Hyatt Ziva rooftop terrace! WOW. This location sold it for me when it comes to weddings. I've yet to have a couple do a reception elsewhere at the resort (not that there aren't other great spots), but it does come with a few requirements.

5 things to know about Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana’s rooftop terrace
#1 - There is a surcharge to have your wedding reception (or ceremony) here. Ask us about the additional fees
#2 - In order to utilize the rooftop for your reception, there are set locations where you must have the ceremony. This is important to discuss with us so you can figure out the best location for your ceremony!
#3 - The panoramic views are stunning! Consider doing your ceremony a bit earlier just so you have some evening light to enjoy the stunning views.
#4 - It can get a bit windy, so take that into consideration when planning your décor. We have multiple setups / configurations and can send you ideas ahead of time. We will also introduce you to the wedding team at the resort.
#5 - Important! There is a guest count limit here for both the ceremony and reception (some choose to have their ceremony here instead of the reception). Talk to us about it so we can see if this location is the right fit!
